Position Description

ZF is a key supplier to GM across the Braking, Steering, Restraints and Electronics product areas, based upon technology, innovation and system integration capabilities. The Sales Representative for Restraints in NA will work hand in hand together with the Account Managers as part of a global sales team and with GM NA.

This is a role which requires commercial savvy and business acumen. The Sales Representative establishes and maintains customer contacts and is the primary liaison for GM accounts receivable, tooling recovery and Diversity requirements.




Position Requirements

  • Establishes and maintains customer contacts and is the primary liaison for GM accounts receivable, tooling recovery, prototypes and Diversity requirements.
  • Commercial support of the customer serial projects, incl. modifications
  • Perform contract reviews according to valid process instruction
  • Provide support to Account Managers (i.e completion of 1804, 1810, change management)
  • Responsible to ensure GM Production Price Tracking Files (by commodity) and raw material deal rate database is updated and distributed monthly or as needed.


Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required


Preffered Skills and Experience:

  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Automotive industry experience in a sales/customer coordination role preferred
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals within and across the organizational at all levels; internally and externally.
  • Team player as part of a local and global sales team.
  • Ability to be detailed oriented as required
  • Must be able to perform under stressful conditions and meet immediate or short-lead time deadlines.
  • Ability to juggle competing demands and adapt to different situations.
  • Working knowledge of Windows software (Word, Excel).
