Job Description

We are looking for a new colleague in the Car Powertrain Technology department at our location in Shirley.

Your tasks as Diagnostic Programmer Engineer:

  • Developing off-board diagnostics for automatic and hybrid transmissions
  • Developing and maintenance of a diagnostic system for the detection of automatic transmission and hybrid transmission related concerns
  • Coordination between the development departments and our customer, a world leading Automotive OEM, to include the amalgamation of automatic transmission related topics into the vehicle diagnostics at an early stage
  • Integration of the insights from the ZF Field Quality and Quality departments into the diagnostic system
  • Programming, commissioning, updating and monitoring of the diagnostic system

Your profile as Diagnostic Programmer Engineer:

  • Successfully completed a degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
  • Sound experience in software requirements and validation, knowledge of automatic transmissions and automotive technology desirable
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming in JAVA
  • Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Excellent English communication skills and willingness to travel
