Position Description

ZF's advanced camera solutions provide safety systems such as Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Following Distance Indication (FDI), Lane Keeping assistance (LKAS), Autonomous Emergency braking (AEB), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW). These functions are realized with a forward-looking monocular camera mounted at the windshield in the region of the rear-view mirror. This position is responsible for the system level design tasks of Camera systems for passenger vehicles within the DAS Business Unit.

Position Requirements

  • Responsible for platform and customer change management using DRBFM (Design Review Based on Failure Mode) methodology (Toyota Methodology preferred).
  • High responsibility and independency to lead and manage FMEA, DRBFM activities based on engineering change topics.
  • Responsible for setting up and managing the DRBFM process framework / tools / enablers.
  • Responsible for rolling out the DRBFM process at organization level globally.
  • Key player to drive projects, FMEA, DRBFM review, problem solving, investigations related to engineering change.
  • Responsibility for DRBFM related training and building competency within the organization.
  • Drive the Change Management process using DRBFM methodology.
  • Good communication and ability to present FMEA, DRBFM to customer.
  • Work with cross functional team to drive and ensure DBFM process adherence by providing required support.
  • Responsible for product quality related to the change implementation.
  • Assess DRBFM process adherence at organization and project level and provide feedback to team(s).
  • Report to Senior Management on DRBFM progress / implementation status at project and organization level.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in the automotive field including direct customer contact.
  • Excellent problem-solving capability.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects among several cross functional teams simultaneously.
  • Experience and skill with customer interaction and communication.
  • Willingness to take ownership of complex issues, and follow through with sound engineering solutions under often urgent timing constraints.
  • Ability to cooperate, maintain teamwork, and set priorities under difficult and dynamic conditions.~cb~
