Position Description:

The Senior Maintenance Engineer will monitor and support overall efficiency of manufacturing processes in terms of improving performance and reducing waste and operating cost. This role will provide support and advice to Maintenance in their efforts to reduce downtime, improve preventative and predictive maintenance programs and implement equipment reliability initiatives.

Position Requirements:

  • Work cross functionally with Operations, Maintenance and Quality to identify opportunities to continuously improve safety, quality, delivery and cost
  • Assist with diagnosing equipment issues and providing technical support
  • Advise and assist Management with attaining monthly goals for maintenance, facilities, fluids and tooling budgets
  • Perform process changes and implement improvements systematically to promote teamwork and guarantee sustainability
  • Submit cost justifications for proposed improvements and opportunities
  • Oversee projects from requisition stage throughout completion
  • Support machine runoffs / may require travel
  • Receive supplier quotes and assist in the selection of acceptable bids
  • Troubleshoot any new equipment until running smoothly whenever necessary
  • Conducts regular safety and process audits

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field) is required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience is required
  • Experience related to the following is required: pneumatics, hydraulics, robotics, CNC controls and manufacturing processes

Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or related field) is preferred
