Position Summary:

This position is responsible for managing data research and analysis through the collection of data and development of complex databases in order to improve operational efficiencies and current processes within the logistics department. Additionally, this individual leads cost improvements projects and cross-functional KPI development and data analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead analysis of complex data using Microsoft Access and Excel in order to support the company initiatives and decision-making processes.
  • Construct and develop materials management databases using Microsoft® Office tools, data extraction from SAP and other software.
  • Develop, edit and distribute supply chain-related, key performance indicators, portals, metrics and reports.
  • Develop complex mathematical models, methods, and tools to support materials management processes and analyses utilizing power BI, macros and other tools available.
  • Work on continues improvement to avoid supply chain disruptions.
  • Create, implement and maintain supply chain tools and systems in accordance with ZF standards and company policy.
  • Maintain and update a variety of department files, lists, records, charts and worksheets.
  • Maintain and develop supplier, customs, and materials management -related portals and intranet materials.
  • Manage electronic supplier communication implementation
  • Create presentations and marketing materials for supplier, customer and internal communication.
  • Lead activities and projects related to cost down or inventory optimization efforts for logistics.
  • Provide functional guidance to other logistics professionals.
  • Perform audit at the suppliers and work on supplier process improvements, including escalation and crisis management.
  • Work in supplier sourcing decision; includes supply chain model, efficiency and low costs, packaging and materials planning.
  • Train the end-users and internal customers on all ZF operating systems used for collection and maintenance of key performance indicators.
  • Create, review and update work instructions and training documentation related to the use and update of key performance indicators.
  • Lead and participate in the rollout of process implementation projects or continuous improvement programs.
  • Create and follow-up with purchase requisitions for capital investments and expenses for all areas in the logistics department.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, formal training, establishing and expanding professional networks, and participating in external events relevant to position.
  • Lead physical inventory sub-processes as required.
  • Understands and complies with TS 16949 and ISO 14000 requirements.
  • Supports and complies with established Company's Corporate Principles.
  • Performs related tasks and assignments as it relates to this position, inclusive of but not limited to above functions.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 6+ years of progressive experience with analyzing, interpreting, and manipulating large quantities of data and processes
  • Experience with development of complex databases and key performance indicators.
  • Highly proficient and advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Superior analytical abilities with a high-level of attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and in teams in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
  • Ability to represent or lead logistics functions in cross-functional teams across all levels of personnel and management.
  • Solid organization and time/project management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

    Preferred Skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse applications (e.g. Business Explorer, Web Application Designer, Business Objects)
  • Master's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
  • Experience in the Automotive industry
  • German language skills
  • Willingness to travel
