Sr. IT Analyst - Network
Miramar

Position Summary: Responsible for managing day to day support for business-critical ZF Marine applications, including Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP, while collaborating with business unit, division staff and corporate IT to clarify local issues, define local priorities, determine realistic timeframes, and ensure that IT meets ZF Marine needs.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage Microsoft Dynamics NAV including support, upgrades, and new implementations.
  • Investigate, analyze, develop and implement cost effective solutions for business-sponsored initiatives.
  • Develop, organize and prioritize project tasks. Lead projects and monitor progress.
  • Communicate project plans and performance results to management and to the organization, as required.
  • Interact with operational management to develop tactical plans and solutions to business needs.
  • Identify needs of staff members for internal and external continuing education. Ensure end-users are properly trained for effective use of the systems.
  • Develop and maintain end-user documentation - training manuals, reference documents, procedural guidelines.
  • Manage and assist with IT end-user support activities including troubleshooting and security functions.
  • Participate with corporate IT in a team-oriented environment to ensure Corporate objectives are met.
  • Assist in the preparation of the budget and in the preparation of internal and external reports which summarize and forecast IT activity.
  • Work with the company Director, Operations Controller, and staff on special projects, i.e. reporting, process management, spreadsheets, forecasts, or special presentation material, etc.
  • Prepare for and work closely with internal and external auditor and coordinate any documentation requirements.
  • Support procurement with IT related purchase decisions.
  • Drive and support digitalization and process automation initiatives.
  • Promote and engage in the principles of employee involvement, team building and continuous improvement.
  • Foster a positive attitude towards company goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Information Systems Technology
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics NAV application implementation, upgrade/migration, and support in a techno-functional role (Min 3 year).
  • Have advanced functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Finance, Warehouse, materials and stock management.
  • Business Intelligence (BI) application experience: preferred - JetReports, Power BI, and/or SQL Reporting Manager.
  • Ability to analyze, triage and successfully complete support issues both face to face and remotely.
  • Experience in project management and transfer of know-how.
  • Experience in preparing functional specification with gap-fit analysis. Good knowledge of business process and process mapping.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of value and functionality of ERP systems.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, be capable of multi-tasking, and be an innovative self-starter who can work well under pressure.
  • Must be versatile with MS office and database software and possess strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build teamwork and cooperation intra-departmentally.
  • Must be willing to travel nationally and internationally.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience working in international business
  • Experience in the Marine industry
  • German and/or Spanish language skills
