Job Description

This exciting placement role is to be part of the Gearbox team responsible for developing and improving the gearboxes used in the Company’s Electric Power Steering units.
Your task:
  • Take ownership of a meaningful project. You will be encouraged to use your own knowledge, skills, drive & initiative to pursue through to completion & successful implementation of the work you develop. You will be working under guidance but it is likely that you will need to learn new skills along the way. We anticipate that whatever is created will be used by the Gearbox team on a regular basis in the future
  • Get involved with team members to assist with various gearbox team tasks & work packages.
  • Liaise with Prototype & Test departments and maintain a reporting & planning brief.
  • Collation of engineering reports, analysis of test data etc.
  • It is expected that you will develop new technical & personal skills & that you will gain valuable experience of working within a Development Engineering environment.

Your profile:
  • You should be enthusiastic about all Engineering topics, subjects & techniques that you experience directly & interested in learning about those that you do not have direct contact with.
  • You should have an inquisitive nature
  • Possess excellent communication skills
  • Good people co-ordination skills & be able to work effectively with a range of people.
  • Good attention to detail.
