Job Description

Job Scope:
This system validation engineer will be responsible for understanding the customer and internal system requirement, create system validation test case, and validate product and evaluate the function and performance of ADAS products. This individual will also support resolving performance-related issues locally for Japan customers. This skill set will be applied to mainly awarded production programs but will also be needed for business capture purposes.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. To understand of system specification and work other functional team members in creating test procedure and plan, to check system functions and performance on vehicle.
  2. Prepare test vehicle and equipment to meet testing requirements, including electrical and mechanical vehicle modification.
  3. Conduct HIL, vehicle testing on test courses and public roads, including overseas location. Activities involve function check of test system and field data collection.
  4. Generate test result report and communicate with development team, providing details of issues encountered in the field.
  5. On-site support, including visits to customer test course, assembly plants, to ensure production readiness in system assembly processes to vehicles.
  6. Proactively work together with global team, both remotely and directly in overseas locations

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
1. Bachelors Degree or higher in Engineering. Electrical/Software Engineering preferred.
2. At least 5 years of experience in automotive product development. Vehicle level system and/or software validation experience is a plus.
3. TOEIC score above 700 is preferred.

Experience and Skill Requirements
1. Good understanding and experience working directly with vehicle electronics.
2. Preferably experienced in software development and verification tasks
3. Preferably experienced in system requirement development and management tasks with using Doors (Requirement management tool)
4. Preferably experienced in vehicle validation tasks with using communication tools
5. Ability to logically break down issues and come up with solutions.
6. Excellent task management skill, able to manage and prioritize multiple issues.
7. Ability to communicate in English and Japanese on technical subjects both in oral and writing, to closely work with global team members.
