Account Manager

Plans, directs and coordinates activities to assist in acquiring new Customers and designated customer accounts to ensure goals & objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer contact for that customer
  • Lead Contract Review
  • Runs project review meeting and project list updates
  • Ensures / coordinates back up support for all programs
  • Coordinates activities related to parts that are already in production
  • Liaison with other ZF divisions on customer basis
  • Develop a trusting relationship with our customer.
  • Regularly meets with customer to resolve open issues including purchase order and payment concerns
  • Meets with customer representatives such as engineers, purchasing, quality and other technical personnel at customer locations to ensure program/project objectives are being met within designated parameters.
  • Reviews blueprints, specs. And other customer documents to develop and prepare proposals for customer use of ZF products.
  • Coordinate activities of project/program personnel to ensure program progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Confers with project/program personnel to resolve problems.
  • Organize meetings with customer & ZF personnel to coordinate program activities.
  • Draws up sales contracts, quotations, internal sample orders for products & services.
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products.
  • Reviews quality problems with engineering and directs action to correct defects.
  • Represents the needs of the customer in internal functions such as selection of special characteristics, setting quality objective training, corrective & preventative actions, product design & development.
  • Comply with all TS16949 policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.

    Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Four-year College or University degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of progressive related experience.
  • OEM experience preferred.
  • Related experience in quality and engineering.
  • Must have experience with automotive customer management.
  • Must have strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Must have project management skills and be able to handle multiple projects.
  • The candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to influencing others. Physical demands and work environment:

  • Required to frequently use gross manipulation, sit, stand and walk.
  • Required to use fine manipulation continuously to type and write; and gross manipulation, firm hand gripping for various tasks.
  • Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
  • Must be able to perceive the nature of sounds at normal range; includes the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.
  • Environmental exposures may include dust, fumes, odors, and loud noises.

    Work Environment: While performing the duties of the job, the employee will be in an office environment with frequent exposure to a manufacturing atmosphere.
