Job Description

Key Purpose
Supports in managing assigned customer accounts to ensure customer satisfaction in the area of product, price, quality, service and technology with the highest level of integrity. Liaises and negotiates with the customer and internal team members while encouraging and developing a strong, positive team environment. Supports in implementing operational measures to achieve the defined sales and profit targets.
Main Accountabilities, responsibilities and deliverables
Sales Strategy and acquisition
  • Support definition of battle plan to ensure alignment and buy-in from top management to pursue customer project
  • Preparation and participation in internal and external strategy, project and cost discussions
  • Represent sales in the OSS product teams
  • Organization, preparation and execution of customer meetings
  • Procurement of competitor and customer information from product planning
  • ZF external and internal networking
  • Turnover planning, market observation
CQ, negotiation and project management
  • Preparation and negotiation of quotes for projects/serial products and prototypes
  • Elaboration and preparation of the Business Case and presentation in the CQA Meeting
  • Preparation of the quote letters including scenarios and detailed plausibility checks in alignment with the standards defined by Commercial Management
  • Elaboration of offers for new projects and modifications
  • Conduct contract reviews according to valid process instruction supported by Corporate contract management
  • Negotiation of technical and commercial changes with internal departments, assuming role of change manager of his projects in close alignment with Project Manager and Application Engineer
  • Actively negotiate with customer, as needed, Raw Material, Inflation and FX recoveries pre and post SOP
  • Monitor customer quality and warranty
Other important tasks
  • Facilitate and lead discussions with FCA capacity management
  • Quote plant responses and ensure collection of monies related to traplines, worn tools and any other customer driven recoverable costs
  • Ensure on-time invoicing and payment for ED&D and tooling
  • Develop deep understanding of FCA systems and processes across product lines to support FCA sales colleagues during vacation, time off
  • Acquire detailed understanding of OSS products (IRS, SW and SBS) and overall FCA global strategy across product lines
  • Prioritize and support global travel and calls as requested and desired by Key Account Management with customer and ZF plants
Essential Skills and Experience
  1. 3+ years of experience in sales roles in the Automotive industry required
  2. Experience in commercial negotiations and business acquisition required
  3. Ability to work cross-functionally in a Global organization, managing multiple projects and competing priorities
  4. Ability to travel as business needs required
  5. Strategic and analytical skills to develop efficient strategic orientation towards customers

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s engineering or business administration degree-level or equivalent.


Experience and Skill Requirements
• 3+ years of experience in the Automotive industry
• Demonstrated experience dealing directly with major Global OEMs. A strong preference will be given to experience on dealing with FCA and OSS products
• Demonstrated ability building internal and external customer relationships
• Large experience in commercial negotiations and business acquisition
• Experience and willingness to engage with plant operations
• Ability to work cross-functionally in a Global organization, managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Able to develop creative solutions to difficult problems.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Talent and openness with proven negotiating skills
• Team player with a high level of integrity.
• Poise, flexible and able to work under pressure.
