ZF is a key supplier to of Braking, Steering, Occupant Restraints and Electronics products and systems to Ford on a global basis. Our strength is based upon technology, innovation and our system integration capabilities. The ZF NA Sales Representative, working with our colleagues locally and globally, will utilize these concepts and will have the responsibility to maintain strong customer relationships and account profitability within the Ford Occupant Restraints product lines.

This is a role which requires strong communication skills in combination with a solid understanding of commercial practices, accounting procedures and the ability to adapt to the changing business environment. The Sales Representative position is a primary liaison for Ford accounts receivable, tooling recovery, prototype materials and diversity requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain customer contacts with the Ford accounts receivable, tooling recovery, and prototypes functional areas.
  • Commercial support of customer projects, updates and final reporting.
  • Perform contract and documentation reviews, initiate corrective actions and distribution.
  • Provide support to Account Managers.
  • Manage Ford Production Price Tracking Files including the tracking and reporting of raw material inflation within the product lines.
  • Assist account manager to complete customer quote responses by working with internal finance, engineering, plant personnel and others as required.
  • Assist account manager to maintain ZF internal data bases and reporting systems.

Core Competencies:

  • Automotive industry experience in a sales/customer coordination role preferred. Program management, supply chain management and/or purchasing experience will be strongly considered.
  • Good analytical, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team player within the local and global sales team and with a wide variety of individuals with the customer.
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Internationally travel is periodically required.
  • Must be able to perform under stressful conditions and meet immediate or short-lead time deadlines.
  • Flexibility to meet to competing demands and adapt to changing situations.
