Role Description:

Supporting the program management function within the ZF Digitalization group, the Agile Transformation Leader will be responsible for promoting Agile transformation, including all training, hands on coaching, and overall build out of an Agile enterprise which supports Agile culture and work practices, and will oversee the transformation of project management practices from a traditional waterfall methodology to an Agile delivery process from project ideation through execution and scale.

Role Responsibilities
  • Coach teams in Agile with an inclusive style that embraces diversity, and will allow teams to successfully operate in a highly matrix organization where partnership and influence are key drivers of success.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance for teams executing digital projects utilizing Agile methodologies. Assist Scrum Masters and Agile Teams with planning and executing agile ceremonies, in the estimation of user stories; participate directly in project kickoff meetings, scrum meetings, sprint scoping and planning meetings, to ensure agile approach is being executed optimally.
  • Perform agile coaching and scrum master responsibilities for teams and teams of teams, with a primary focus on coaching.
  • Trains and educates all key agile roles within project teams on their roles and responsibilities according to Agile methodology.
  • Establish curriculums and training to be utilized throughout ZF organization for Agile transformation
  • Develop and enforce usage of key tools.
  • Conduct hands on training & workshops as necessary in various ZF locations globally
  • Develop and use metrics to continually improve project management practices.
  • Create and implement innovative ideas to reduce time to evaluate digital project concepts into a Minimum Viable Product
  • Conduct Agile briefs to senior leadership on a periodic basis
  • Document, Manage, and improve processes, policies, and procedures as necessary to iteratively advance agile transformation.
  • Participate in internal and/or external training programs, staying current on agile practices and technical skills applicable to assigned duties.
  • Play an active role in building our project management capability through the mentoring and development of talent.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering, or related fields
Agile Certifications i.e. CSM; ACP; CPO; SAFe; LeSS

Experience and Skill Requirements
•10 years of working experience with 10 successfully coached project initiatives that were executed utilizing Agile methodologies
•4+ years of project management experience in an Agile delivery environment
•3+ years of experience as an Agile Coach
•Ability to travel globally
•Certified Scrum Master
•Experience working in an Agility training / coaching role with exposure to large organizational transformations
•Experience with Building Agile Teams
•Experience utilizing an Agile framework (e.g. Scrum, Extreme Programming, Kanban, SAFe)
•Ability to communicate effectively to executive leadership
•Solid oral, written, and presentation skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills
•Able to handle conflict resolution well, facilitating discussion and alternatives of different approaches
•Ability to exercise independent judgment while effectively prioritizing and executing tasks while under pressure
•Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
•Working experience with product development life cycles including Waterfall
•Experience working with Agile software development systems and tools
•Proven facilitator that can lead sessions and workshops driving creativity, commitments, and deliverables.
•Proven ability to train and teach new concepts to challenging audiences.
•Demonstrated exceptional critical thinking, strategic planning, and process management skills.
