Job Description

With the growing Electronic Power Steering (EPS) business it is mandatory to qualify the product performance early in the development process by utilizing virtual Simulation technologies. This position is responsible for conducting and managing Simulation activities as one key element in ZF’s Steering System development process. It gives challenging opportunities to expand existing and new methods alongside with the rapid evolution of Simulation capabilities.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with, and provide support to the mechanical & electrical design teams in the CAE analysis of mechatronic steering systems and components to ensure compliance with customer specifications and legal requirements.
  • Interface with customer CAE and Simulation departments to ensure proper delivery of simulation models and results according to agreed timelines and processes
  • Create, analyze, modify, post process mathematical models and correlate to test data. You have to interpret results with an eye on improving the design of the product against given design criteria.
  • Generate work packages & manage Low cost country Simulation engineers to support Simulation deliveries.
  • Develop continuous improvement of processes and methodologies
  • Collaborate with other global TRW CAE & Simulation Teams to share best practice and standards.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 7+ years of Automotive Engineering experience (post graduation)
  • Entrepreneur in Model based Development Strategies with Leadership experience
  • Educated to degree standard with solid CAE & Simulation background
  • Solid knowledge in the model built and analysis of mechatronic systems, covering both mechanical and software domain
  • Familiar with ideas of Smart Systems Engineering
  • Familiar with typical commercial available Simulation packages (3D & 1D)
  • Basic knowledge in Functional Safety Aspects (ISO262262) and Software Development (Automotive Spice) is appreciated
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Masters highly preferred).
