Job Description



Responsibilities

1.     Set up chassis and full vehicle Multi Body Simulation (MBS) models using Adams/Car


2.     Validation of MBS models to measurements. (K&C on chassis level and Ride&Handling on full vehicle level)


3.     Responsible for the analysis of suspension K&C, vehicle dynamics, load cascading, etc.


4.     Propose suspension K&C optimization solutions acc. to customer targets or benchmark vehicles


5.     Coordination of ongoing development in contact with customers


6.     Coordination of the technical issues within the framework of the project acquisition


7.     Support advanced chassis development in defining axle concepts that enable expected target level performance with respect to mass and cost.


8.     Create simulation reports and initiate working processes when necessary.


9.     Support chassis tuning (e.g. definition of tuning parts and chassis parameters).


10.  Responsible for chassis simulation relevant local specs, standards and data bases.


11.  Usage of ZF CZA Adams templates and guidelines.


12.  Participate in chassis benchmarking activity for local vehicle models


13.  Support chassis system durability rig test by simulation regarding loads, testing specs definition, etc.


14.  Support to break down vehicle level specification (VTS) into subsystem and component requirements (SSTS / CTS) to assure future vehicle development projects meet targets


15.  Coordination of requirements together with the Development and Testing as well as customers and suppliers.


16.  Verification / validation (i.e. K&C, Multi-Channel Fatigue and Ride & Handling) of the MBS models together with testing engineers


Requirements

Basic Requirements:



  • Working experience: Min. 3 years’ experience in Vehicle Dynamics CAE development using Adams/Car

  • Education: Bachelor/ Master degree in mechanical or automotive engineering or equivalent  English: Fluent  – both verbal and written

  • German: Not must but be a plus

  • Computer: Adams, Matlab Simulink, Catia


Requirement, Professional Skills and Abilities:

1.      Familiar with different suspension concepts.

2.      Min. 3 years’ experience in the application of numerical simulation methods (MBS Analysis) on subsystem and full vehicle level.

3.      Good presentation and communication skills (as the technical interface with customers)

4.      Practical application experience with the following simulation software products: Adams/View, Adams/Car, FTire

5.      Flexible for short/long term travelling, incl. international travels.

6.      Team orientation with internal and external contacts

7.      Proven competence in dealing with customer and suppliers

8.      Proactive and collaborative approach towards problem solving

9.      Strong continuous self-learning capability

10.    Ability to work actively in a multi-cultural environment

11.    Willing and able to adapt quickly to new methods and new assignment objectives 12.    Strong drive for teamwork with a customer-oriented approach to projects

13.    Capable of retaining working efficiency and results under pressure

14.    Preferred skills and experience:

         a)      Experience or knowledge in chassis tuning

         b)      Practical application experience with Matlab Simulink and Co-simulation

         c)      Experience in the analysis (i.e.: K&C) of passenger car chassis subsystems and/ or mechatronic components

         d)      Practical CAD application experience with CATIA V5, CREO, Etc.

         e)      Etc.
