ZF is seeking a Commodity Buyer to support our Digitalization team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support the team and related functions within Digitalization environment in all NPM related Purchasing activities.
  • Reporting to global NPM Business Services commodity team
  • Collaborate with Digitalization team on identifying new and/or existing suppliers for opportunities or sourcing requirements that occur.
  • Develop bid list and hand Request for Proposals (RfP) activities working with their international functional counterparts.
  • Ensure all applicable group directives and guidelines are followed and any required exceptions are escalated to the proper level or individuals.
  • Work with the international functional counterparts do develop a negotiation strategy and finalization of a sourcing recommendations.
  • Work with counterparts and/or legal if required to secure proper agreements which are in place for pricing, licensing agreements, scope of work and any other applicable terms and conditions.
  • A strong technical knowledge (in electronics and software preferably) with analytical skills and a high level of self-motivation as well as self-organization is preferred for this position.
  • Maintain all applicable records, documents, SharePoint, databases etc. to ensure an organized and properly documented process.
  • Drive for savings, payment term conditions and other KPIs (Key Performance Indicator) which might apply under the Global NPM organization.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Knowledge of IT and Engineering related license agreements.
  • Previous Purchasing Experience.
  • Strategic Thinker Analytical Thinker.
  • Highly Self Motivated.
  • Team Player.
  • Structured and Organized.
