Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Process customer returned product into the Returned Material Analysis (RMA) system and analyze customer returns as assigned.
  • Analyze customer returns to root cause. Use appropriate test equipment, schematic, data, etc.
  • Proactively work to minimize overall analysis time and disposition of suspect material.
  • Conduct verification steps and documentation required to prove a component defect and complete an AR (analysis request).
  • Understand customer requirements and meet customer timing and expectations.
  • Understand customer software and how to identify customer fault codes and other data to aid the analysis process.
  • Troubleshoot defective product returned by customers to determine root cause of failure.
  • Work with Manufacturing, Quality, Design, Process Engineering and Supplier organizations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Alert process, Test and/or Quality personnel of any process or component issues via a VOC document.
  • Actively support continuous improvement activities targeted at improving Back to Basic performance in the six business fundamentals.
  • Write clear, concise, detailed technical notes that can be easily applied to customer reports.
  • Keep accurate records and save all pertinent analysis data to the designated locations.
  • Document the analysis status of multiple units on a daily basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
