Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: Liaison between customers, production planning, and manufacturing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain customer delivery rating per established On-Time-Delivery goal.
  • Participate in Production Meetings to analyze and review shipment needs and issues within the manufacturing of products which includes production, quality, scrap and effectiveness. Also attend additional meetings as required for quality and delivery issues. Complete tasks assigned from those meetings including gathering data for evaluation.
  • Interface with customers regarding shipment and delivery information.
  • Monitor EDI communiqués from customers.
  • Notify management of customer issues affecting the Manufacturing Plan and Sales.
  • Run and Print the Ship Requirement Listing from SAP to analyze customer requirements and create deliveries for shipment in SAP. Maintain SAP activities necessary to accomplish daily shipments.
  • Maintain SAP data relevant to customer service (Scheduling Agreements, Master Data, etc.).
  • Disposition purchase orders through proper channels (Purchase Order / contact review).
  • Maintain files of customer purchase orders, releases, memorandums, etc.
  • Interact with internal and external customers to aid in the resolution of issues.
  • Assist in communicating any known forecasts to the master scheduler for 18Month Capacity Planning.
  • Coordinate completion of corrective actions for missed customer shipments as required.
  • First line of contact on all customer service issues.
  • Occasional travel for customer required business conferences.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with and support the health, safety, and environmental programs, policies and procedures.
