Position Description

Works under immediate supervision. Performs Project Management activities on small to medium sized projects. The IT Project Manager acts, in accordance with ZF TRW and PMI standards, as the principle project manager for projects. The primary roles and responsibilities include the activities required to plan, execute and deliver all relevant aspects of the projects. These aspects include project scope, deliverables, timing and costs, as well as successfully managing and mitigating project issues and risks.

Position Requirements

  • Responsible for the successful completion of all Project Management relevant activities in the assigned projects (including planning, estimating, scheduling, organizing, documenting, tracking and monitoring activities, reporting progress).
  • Leads and manages the project through the ZF defined PM processes from Definition through validation.
  • Cooperates with other managers to meet expectations for the project.
  • Manages multiple development methodologies, including AGILE and Waterfall.
  • Ensures that project metrics and lessons learnt are appropriately documented and communicated for the benefit of other staff and future projects.
  • Works with a team of Project Managers to refine and improve our Project Management processes, including working as a Mentor or Mentee.
  • Maintaining a project dashboard and communicating project status and metrics to the leadership in an efficient manner.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Fluent English.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, negotiation).
  • 2 years professional experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or Engineering is required with working knowledge of information systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Product Development, Engineering, Quality or Production (Manufacturing) practices, preferred.
  • A demonstrated ability for managing small and medium projects, preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or at least in process, preferred.
