Job Description


Main ObjectivesZF top customer approach is organized through KAE’s. This position is responsible for managing all regional China customer account activities (e.g. VW or GM in China) to support existing business and develop/execute a regional strategy to capture future business potentials with OEM or its JV’s. Regional KAM is most senior level interface to OEMs in the region.
Key Responsibilities
1. The Key Account Senior Manager will own and execute ZF’s strategy with the customer in China and additional markets according to the OEMs global strategy.
2. Having responsibility for sales resources and development of the sales force dedicated to the area of responsibility (customer or customer group).
3. Develops a “living” and “actionable” strategic plan and goals specific to the customer in China as part of the global overall customer strategy. Specifically, the identification of strategic / business opportunities to consolidate the relationship and grow ZF market share in China.
4. Leads acquisitions of local business in China as part of the KAE organization and aligned with the global customer strategy.
5. Ensures ZF maximizes its content per vehicle by creating robust multi-product battle plans with the customer team and Divisions / Business Units.
6. Leads regional activities for internal cross BU actions / initiatives (LRP/Give Backs/OP reviews/CSR/Auto Show/etc.)
7. Ensures a robust customer relationship with local senior customer leadership.
8. Accountability for delivering profitable new business and managing pre-launch profitability.


Basic Requirements

1. Working experience Minimum 7-9 years professional experience, preferably in the automotive sector.
2. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
3. English Fluent in English (spoken and written).
4. German Advantageous.
5. Computer MS Office, Outlook

1. Local Business person with strong entrepreneurial thinking
2. Strong knowledge of regional structures / customer insight but also global view for overall account strategy
3. Exercises “natural authority” in cultural context
4. Preferably engineering background and solid product expertise
5. Strong (global) networking and coordination / cooperation skills
6. Deep understanding of automotive business, market trends, innovation
