Position Description

Master Scheduler II/Customer Service is a key Materials/Supply chain position that works closely with OEM Truck assembly plants for ZF Div T and assists in setting production priorities to ensure the proper priorities are communicated.Position also sets the priority schedule for outside paint suppliers and works with production to ensure proper finished goods levels are in place. Ensures that the Customer Service Team is reacting and responding to varied customer requests for order changes, new products, packaging or shipping carrier changes.

Position Requirements

  • Obtain Customer requirements and Analyze Customer demand
  • Maintains Master Production Schedule and Ship plans to meet Customer requirements, with consideration to Plant Capacity and Inventory objectives
  • Coordinates SAP activities for appropriate planning of stock levels to meet customer demand and to also to meet predetermined safety stock of finished goods
  • Manage off-site paint suppliers and schedule painting in accordance with customer needs/requirements
  • Works closely with the assigned Production Planner to ensure the proper customer priorities are being scheduled to ensure maximum On-Time Delivery, while minimizing inventory
  • Interfaces with customers regarding orders changes, drop-in orders, cancellations, expedites, etc
  • Publish the Gear Master Plan and Sales Unit reports to management
  • Issues monthly Long-Range Gear Forecast
  • Ensures assigned departments are adhering to issued production schedules, minimizing over-runs and missed production
  • Works closely with all departments to ensure smooth, timely launch of new programs.

Essential Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
  • 3 - 5 years of progressive Materials/Supply Chain experience in scheduling, customer service, and/or shipping
  • SAP or other ERP systems experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiarity with product line and manufacturing processes
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, organized and able to multi-task
  • Ability to prioritize and schedule daily tasks
  • Ability to travel to customer plants

Preferred Skills and Experience
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
