PLC Programmer

Location: Industrial zone TRIANGLE, Žatec; time to time travelling abroad (mainly Germany)

Provide technical onsite support and field service for equipment utilizing or directly affected by PLC programming.

• Design and construct control systems for single devices and/or specific functions of electrical machinery and equipment on the shop floor involving PLCs (programmable logic controllers).
• Provide day-to-day support for shop floor PLCs and related hardware, software, and applications (example – labeling).
• Implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion
• Respond to the needs and questions of shop floor users concerning their access and use of shop-floor PLC applications, applications issues, and training needs.
• Detect failures/errors, analyse root causes and develop as well as establish adequate solutions.
• Effectively communicate issues and solutions to both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Remain abreast of changes in the user and system software and hardware requirements.
• Maintain proper barcode labeling for identification and RF usage (labels generated by PLCs).
• Train end-users and maintain proper documentation with PLC’s and other related shop-floor applications.
• Understand and comply with QS-9000 and ISO-14000 requirements.
• Act as part of the team providing support during the plant operation.

• Vocational training in Mechatronics / PLC Programmer / Technical Engineering
• Min. 2 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
• Advanced know-how in electronics
• Profound Siemens Step 7 skills (hard- and software)
• Experienced with PLC Programming (Siemens automation and drives; Step 7, Simatic Server, and WIN AC) and specialty Programming (Robot, Camera System, Servo Press, etc.)
• Demonstrated teamwork-orientation, communication and analytical thinking skills
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Software and Database Software
• Advanced English conversation
