Job Description

Responsibilities & objectives include: Maintain constant communication with original equipment manufacture customers to obtain real-time “Voice of the customer” feedback. Provide onsite customer technical support for issues pertaining to fit, finish or operating performance of seat belt, airbag , steering wheel systems. Compose monthly customer score cards which indicate OEM quality status with a summary of non-compliance issues. Manage / coordinate actions for improvement. Assist with customer quality initial reject responses as well as third party containment activities. Provide updates to customers on containment activities, product return investigations and warranty trends. Support problem solving activity (8-D) deliverables between assembly plants and engineering center. Coordinate and present corrective action presentations to customer assembly plants as well as their customer engineering centers. Access online customer quality & delivery portals on a daily bases to monitor current performance indicators. Provide communication to plant and engineering staff of these performance indicators and their potential penalties. Update operations management with key information pertaining to customer production interruptions / yard holds / walk-backs /quality campaigns. Negotiate with customers for the reduction or elimination of Parts-Per-Million data / Non conformance tickets / excessive containment activities.

Conduct internal quality systems / line walk audits prior to initial launch and SOP for new programs. Provide constructive feedback and technical insight to drive effective corrective actions. Track and report status of open issues to TRW operations management, program management and TRW central quality operations. Assist with the development of new program APQP documents using direct “voice of the customer” feedback of quality concerns from current production products.

Provide on site support at TRW and Customer Plant during launch. Perform other task and assignments as required.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related techical field. ASQ certifications a plus.

Experience and Skill Requirements
Experience in the automotive or supplier industry
Additional business management education / experience
English language skills
