Our facility in Fayette, Ohio is actively seeking a Quality Engineer who has experience with Tier I Manufacturing and Assembly.

Core Job Requirements, Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Champion of all customer quality concerns, internal and external; this includes scheduling and leading meetings, tracking and closing corrective actions.
  • Support all production needs related to process controls & product quality as necessary.
  • Champion of supplier quality assurance for the facility including supplier launch readiness, APQP, PPAP, and concern management.
  • Working knowledge of Core Tools (PPAP/PSW, MSA, SPC, FMEA, CP’s & Capability.)
  • Champion internal quality initiatives including conducting plant training.
  • Strong understanding of IATF16949 Automotive Quality Standard
  • Availability 24/7. Able to work overtime as the business requires.
  • Ability to travel 25% of the time to North American customers and suppliers as necessary.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or similar field.
Three to five years professional experience in a Quality Engineering role, or equivalent, with a manufacturing or assembly background preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Mini Tab.
Six Sigma Greenbelt (preferred).
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) (preferred).
Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) (preferred).
Knowledge of Ford Q1 Requirements (preferred).

Experience and Skill Requirements
Highly motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of measurement systems, and process control techniques
Strong problem-solving skills and root cause analysis skills.
Proven experience in leading others with a proactive attitude
Strong communication and presentation skills
Demonstrated ability to work in teams in a continuous improvement environment.
Support all internal process and product improvement projects using lean manufacturing techniques (Six Sigma) like SPC, Control Charts, Pareto analysis, and Scrap reduction.
Conduct statistical analysis to help prevent problems in the manufacturing process and measurement initiatives.
Conduct supplier, customer, and internal QMS audits.
Ability to analyze and interpret various data trends and patterns or other indications of process and system problems.
Provide manufacturing support to implement quality improvements (e.g., defect analysis, data analysis, and lead quality improvement teams).
Ability to back up the Quality Manager from time to time.
