Job Description


Main Objectives

1. Acquisition of Chinese customer for ZF Powertrain Technology (ZF PT) product portfolio(automatic transmission)
2. Evaluation of the Chinese automotive industry to identify possible customers for ZF, tracking activities of ZF PT competitors in China.
3. Preparation and conduction of following processes: indications and quotations for projects and series business as well as prototypes and change management, particularly in the interface with other departments (e.g. development, project management, controlling, purchasing etc.).
4. Preparation of contracts and other agreements with customers and take responsibility for the negotiation.
5. Organization, preparation and conduction of meetings with customers and potential customers on own responsibility.
6. Window person between local OEMs and ZF during the acquisition phase.
7. Internal organization and coordination to secure potential project and get nomination.
8. Establishment of internal and external networking and ensure customer satisfaction.
9. Participation in internal and external meetings.
10. Preparation and supporting cost analysis and negotiating process with customers.
11. Support internal departments within the ZF internal planning processes and strategy planning process.
12. Track and report invoice and payment status at required frequency.

Key responsibilities
1. Window person between  Local OEMs and ZF PT Sales for all operational issues in close co-operation with the local plant sales team
2. Establish, expand and maintain good relationship with Local OEMs and provide strong support for the upcoming business growth with Local OEMs
3. Support business acquisition for passenger car automatic transmission in China.

External 1. Key personnel (purchasing, project management) and management of Chinese OEM
Internal 1. ZF PT sales department / Key Account Manager Asia / Pacific
2. Project management, development, planning, Marketing etc.


Working experience Working experience in sales / service / project management in the automotive area
Education Degree with mechanical or sales background
Engineering background preferred
English  Fluent
German Will be a plus
Computer MS Office

Professional skills and abilities

Active in communication, building of internal and external network
Willingness for business travel in China and Europe
Reliability of task completion and follow up of pending issues
Intercultural communication skill

Special Requirements
- Experience in projects, project management and its methods
- Good business process knowledge
- Knowledge of the ZF PT product portfolio
- Knowledge of powertrain or driveline required
