Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop supplier quality systems to world class ZF standards in terms of cost, quality and delivery
  • Strong negotiation skills, strong math based computer skills, ability to thrive in a team environment, strong leadership presence, organizational and communication skill
  • Lead supplier quality improvement activities and where applicable use both industry standard (5Why, 8D) and ZF specific improvement tools (SQIP, Top Focus)
  • Audit and review new supplier capabilities
  • Lead supplier program launches for new suppliers or new components using established ZF APQP process
  • Support division operating plan by supporting and pursuing cost reduction opportunities
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement projects within the ZF TE Supplier Management group and the supply base.

Required Education, Skills, and Experience:

  • BS Degree in a STEM related field, preferable engineering or engineering technology
  • A minimum of six (6) years experience in aerospace or automotive quality environment is required.
  • Ability to travel domestic and internationally up to 40% of the time.
  • Must be able to work independently as well as prioritize program responsibilities to meet project timelines
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite, Minitab experience a plus
  • Proficiency with industry quality standards (TS16949/ISO9001), PPAP, APQP, Statistics, Six Sigma and VDA 6.3)
  • Proficiency with Engineering : GDT, technical drawing interpretation, familiarity with basic materials strength and properties
  • Must be able to work with and provide verbal direction
  • Must possess a high level of independent judgment, professionalism, integrity and honesty.
  • Solid time management skills, strategically global in thinking and planning, goal oriented results time and project management ability is critical ~cb~

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Purchasing experience preferred
  • Experience working with Machined Iron, Castings, or Forgings is preferred
  • Bilingual applicants will be given priority
  • Experience with global cultures and practices is a plus
