Job Description

Evaluates, selects and develops motor suppliers products/processes for Div AS Worldwide, working closely with them in the product development/launch phase.
Supports the supplier development activities impacting the quality performance of the plants worldwide.

This position is responsible for ensuring flawless launch of supplied components for the Div AS ZF plants.
The knowledge and experience of a Specialist will be critical to future defect prevention. Specifically, this individual will be focused on early engagement with the Engineering organization to ensure optimal designs are created and will drive achievement of quality, capacity, and timing requirements with the supply base in build to print and/or build to spec. strategy. In addition to executing standard Advanced Product Quality Planning tools (APQP), this Motor lead Specialist will be the linkage with Programs, Engineering, Commodity and all other functions in order to feed information upstream and downstream. This individual will also be looked to for their experience to engage in major Production crisis and support the organization to help resolve key complex supplier issues. Regular engagement and management of Internal and External customers will be required.

The Motor Specialist is the interface and influence all levels of his/her internal organization as well as the supplier’s organization.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
Minimum –
•Education to diploma /degree level preferably in an engineering / technology subject.
Formal electronic/electromechanical education.
•Knowledge and interpretation of the quality standards and practices ISO 9000 , VDA, AIAG, Special Process Assessments (i.e. CQI_s) and IATF 16949
•Industrial experience in the automotive industry in electromechanicals / eletornics or a combination of formal experience in similar technologies. 5 years
•Knowledge/experience with the following basic Engineering disciplines: drawing interpretation including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T), knowledge/experience of feasibility to deploy lean manufacturing disciplines.
•General quality techniques (Statistic, APQP, PPAP, P&P Audit, Run @ Rate Audit, 8D problem solving or equivalent disciplined problem solving techniques.
•Green Belt Training, Shaining, …
•Significant knowledge of the manufacturing processes.
•Working in and preferably leading multifunctional project teams.
•Multicultural experience: Experience on working with people from different cultures and countries
•Coaching abilities, even in teams not belonging to the same organisation
•A thorough knowledge of the business, its products and suppliers and also relevant processes and materials.
•Operational responsibility (Manager) for min. 1 year.

Experience and Skill Requirements
•Education to diploma/degree level preferably in an engineering/technology . Formal eletromechanical /electronics education.

•Team leadership
•Communication skills. Influencing skis and assertiveness.
•Planning and presentation

Good English knowledge (verbal and written) and another AP Language.

Preferred -

ASQC Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Cerftified Quality Engineer (CQA)
IATF Lead Assessor training.
Experience of working in automotive industry either at a Vehicle manufacturer or 1st Tier supplier.
Experience working with a Global team
