Job Description

General Summary: Leadership responsibility for technical and facilities support

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures proper resource allocation and utilization to support plant facilities requirements.
  • Drives continuous process improvements and supports safety/environmental and quality goals.
  • Ensures maintenance and compliance commitments are met.
  • Provides necessary support, training, and development of employees.
  • Performs long-range planning and formulates business strategies.
  • Demonstrates strong technical and plant facilities knowledge.
  • Coordinate plant shutdown maintenance activities
  • Manage facilities related contractors

Job Specifications:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. PC proficiency in software programs and automated business systems. Strong leadership skills to support multiple projects in fast paced business environment. Ability to control building operating costs, productivity of the building occupants, compliance with all regulatory requirements, meeting of project schedules, etc.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to meet all environmental standards. Must have hand dexterity at moderate speed with accuracy for half of each day. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Must be able to provide steady, active effort with continuous walking. Some areas require respirator certification.

Promotion of product quality and attainment of customer satisfaction by supporting plant quality objectives.

Supports and actively participates in continuous improvement activities and applies Lean principles in efforts to reduce variation in our products and our processes.

ZF Mesa Operations screening process includes a hair substance abuse screening test, ATF lifetime background check, and a verification of eligibility for employment.

Job Requirements

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree. Related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Experience and Skill Requirements
8 years of progressive/related experience along with five years of leadership experience. A combination of education and experience may be considered. Training in hazardous materials and waste management compliance, training in transportation of dangerous goods preferred. Strong experience in OHSA regulations, NFPA codes and other related standards, strong experience with building support equipment (HVAC, etc.) and preventative maintenance of the equipment and building structure, strong experience in building operating costs and project cost management preferred.
